Android 10 is now rolling out to the Nokia 2.3 - silversurfer - 22 April 20
Quote:HMD Global, the company behind the Nokia-branded Android smartphones, has wasted no time in rolling out Android 10 to its smartphone lineup over the past few weeks. Yesterday, the Nokia 3.2 and 4.2 saw the latest version of Android expand to additional markets, after an initial release two weeks ago, and now, the more recent Nokia 2.3 is getting updated as well.
As usual, the announcement comes from Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer at HMD Global, on Twitter. And continuing its recent trend, there's a post on the company's community forums explaining details of the rollout. Nokia 2.3 owners can expect Android 10 in the following 40 markets:
Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Belarus, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, HongKong, Iceland, India, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Latvia, Lebanon, Libya, Lithuania, Macau, Malaysia, Mongolia, Morocco, Nepal, Norway, Oman, Philippines, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Tunisia, UAE, Ukraine, Yemen.
Even in these markets, the update is rolling out gradually, so only 10% of users will see it today. It will reach 50% of customers by April 24, and it should be available to everyone by April 26. Later on, the rollout will expand to more markets.
The Nokia 2.3 is one of HMD's most recent smartphones, having launched last December, but it still shipped with Android Pie out of the box. It's one of the last phones expected to get Android 10 at the start of the second quarter of 2020, and now only the Nokia 3.1 Plus is left. The rest of the supported devices should expect the update before the second half of the year.
