Earlier this year, Microsoft launched a new feature on the Android version of Outlook that allows users to report spam and other emails that could pose a threat to their data – for example, this feature can be used to report pretty much any suspicious emails, including those used for phishing.
 
Needless to say, this is a welcome addition, especially given how many people use the Outlook app on their mobile devices, so fast forward to mid-June and here’s Apple bringing the same capabilities to the iPhone version of the app too.
 
Beginning with version 4.42.0, which is now available for download from the App Store, users can report suspicious emails using a dedicated “Report Junk” button that’s available in the app. However, you should know that this feature is enabled only for Office 365 and Outlook.com accounts, so it won’t show up on inboxes from other providers.
 
“See something fishy? Report spam and phishing messages to keep your inbox safe. Find the new Report Junk option right where you find other actions like Archive and Delete. Available on Office 365 and Outlook.com accounts,” Microsoft explains in the changelog of this new version.
