The issue also seems to be only affecting the Ultra variants of the Galaxy S20 and Note20, with wireless charging working fine on the other variants.
 
The problem seems to be affecting a limited number of Galaxy S20 Ultra and Note20 Ultra users which is perhaps why it has slipped under Samsung's radar. With the issue now getting the media spotlight, it is likely that Samsung will take notice of it and roll out a firmware update to fix it.
