Disabling Windows Defender? - dinosaur07 - 06 December 20

Hello users,
What is your opinion on disabling or not Windows Defender when using other AV or Security Suites that give us the option to keep it or disable it? Is it safe to have 2 AVs running ar the same time?
My opinion will be to disable Windows Defender and use 3rd party AV or Security Suite if we are given this possibility or have this option.
What do you think?
Thanks.

Well, in theory if the 3rd party AV/security solution can manage to set itself as a main security provider in Windows Security Center, following Microsoft recommendations, WD should auto disable until that 3rd party is uninstalled, manually disabled protection or got license expired...

But yeah I also don't like the idea having WD all the time working in "latency status" with a 3rd party security solution...

In Windows 10, Windows Defender will be disabled automatically once the system detects that 3rd party anti-virus programs are installed just in order to avoid unexpected issues. Besides, it is really unnecessary to have two different AVs running ar the same time.
