Yuri “1usmus” Bubliy, a well-known software developer recognized for tools such as ClockTuner for Ryzen and Project Hydra, has disclosed AMD’s upcoming addition to its Curve Optimizer feature: Curve Shaper.

According to 1usmus, this new feature aims to prevent processors from unnecessarily boosting frequencies during idle periods and under low temperatures. The reason for this is straightforward: there’s no need for CPUs to operate at high frequencies when handling simple tasks that demand minimal CPU power.

Importantly, this feature won’t interfere with CPU performance under heavier workloads and higher temperatures. It is expected to integrate directly into AMD’s Ryzen Master software, eliminating the need for third-party downloads.

According to Yuri, there should be an update for HYDRA around the release of Ryzen 9000. This would be the first public release of the 1.7 version. This public release will also bring support for automatic video card overclocking, and DDR5 memory overclocking on AMD platform. An exciting release, no doubt.
