Intel has not made any new announcements regarding the upcoming discrete Battlemage GPU series, but the company isn’t completely silent. There are two important updates to share.

Starting with the Xe3 architecture, also known as Celestial. The codename may actually refer to the discrete architecture (HPG), while the new information focuses on an integrated GPU solution, expected to debut in Panther Lake mobile CPUs.

According to Phoronix, Intel recently revealed the PCI Device IDs for Panther Lake Xe3 iGPUs, which include: 0xB080, 0xB081, 0xB082, 0xB090, 0xB091, 0xB092, 0xB0A0, 0xB0A1, and 0xB0A2. There are 9 new IDs, but one shouldn’t immediately assume that 9 new SKUs are planned. Knowing that these are integrated graphics, we currently know about three potential configurations.
  • Panther Lake-U (PTL-U): 4P➕0E➕4LP➕4Xe3
  • Panther Lake-P (PTL-P): 4P➕8E➕4LP➕12Xe3
  • Panther Lake-H (PTL-H): 4P➕8E➕4LP➕4Xe3
The new IDs are part of the Intel’s Xe Direct Rendering Manager (DRM) updates, and it seems to focus on Panther lake, rather than discrete HPG series.
