What Changes in Edge’s Release Cycle and What Happens to Extended Stable

Microsoft Edge currently releases new versions roughly every four weeks. Under the updated schedule, stable updates will be released every two weeks.

This change means users will see new features and platform improvements sooner. Since each update is smaller, it can also simplify validation for IT teams.

Security updates will continue to be rolled out to both the Stable and Extended Stable channels. Critical security patches apply to both, with the main difference being how quickly new features arrive in each channel.
