AMD has now confirmed that FSR Upscaling 4.1 is available for Radeon RX 7000 series graphics cards. This expands AMD’s latest machine learning based upscaler beyond the Radeon RX 9000 series.

According to AMD, the update brings FSR 4.1 to millions of more players across more than 300 games. The company says it currently powers more than 1 billion gaming devices worldwide, which likely includes consoles, handhelds, desktop GPUs and APUs.

FSR4 RDNA3 APUs confirmed

The announcement also confirms that RDNA 3 APUs are still on AMD’s roadmap. AMD says it is developing “lightweight machine learning models” for APU players, which suggests that integrated graphics will need a separate path rather than the same model used by discrete Radeon RX 7000 cards.
