While in the Real-World Protection Test the vector is the web, in the Malware Protection Test the vectors are network drives and USB. In principle, home-user Internet security suites were used for this test. However, some vendors asked to test their (free) antivirus security product.

Tested Products

Information about additional third-party engines/signatures used inside the products: BullGuard, Emsisoft, F-Secure, Quick Heal, Tencent (English version) and VIPRE use the Bitdefender engine. AVG is a rebranded version of Avast.
