And yet, we already know pretty much everything about the iPhone 9, which, in fact, is supposed to be the second-generation iPhone SE.
First and foremost, the device will borrow the body, the look, and the dimensions of the iPhone 8. This means it’ll feature a 4.7-inch LCD display with a home button and integrated Touch ID.
Then, it won’t boast Face ID because it’ll lack a notch, and the iPhone 9 will remain the only new iPhone in Apple’s lineup not using an OLED panel.
A photo published by Apple leakster Jon Prosser comes to confirm some of these details. A screen protector listing from Target allegedly confirms the iPhone 9 name (which means the iPhone SE 2 moniker has been abandoned and this is the name Apple plans to use for this 4.7-inch iPhone), as well as the dimensions of the screen.
