Microsoft fixes 'No Internet' bug in latest Windows 10 Dev build
#1
Information
Quote:Microsoft today fixed the "No Internet access" known issue affecting Windows 10 2004 devices with the release of Windows 10 Build 20185 for Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel.

Microsoft said that it has addressed this issue which, as BleepingComputer previously reported, was causing the "No Internet access" tray indicator to show up in the Windows taskbar on affected devices even though they are connected to the Internet.

On some of the impacted Windows 10 systems, users might also see "Please connect your device to the internet" error messages when launching apps that rely on Windows APIs to detect Internet connection status (for instance, in some cases Windows Update is unable to connect to update servers and Office does not load)

Microsoft customers have reported encountering this issue after upgrading to Windows 10 2004, with system reboots, router resets, and driver updates not fixing the problem (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6).

Last month, Redmond also fixed a similar bug that caused Windows 10 computers with wireless wide area network (WWAN) LTE modems to lose Internet connectivity after installing the May KB4556799 update.
