From an improved video player with greater functionality to an easier and faster search tool, these are some of the improvements we’ve made over the last few months, along with a preview of features we expect to introduce in the near future.

Recent feature updates



New and improved video playerPlatform: MEGA in browser.

Have greater control over your video viewing experience with a slick, simple-to-use interface. The updated in-browser video player includes the following controls:

• Playback speed: Play videos at your preferred speed. Ensure you don’t miss a thing at 0.5x, or save time by setting playback speed to 2x.
  
• Repeat video: Automatically loop videos when they finish.
  
• Brightness and contrast: Optimise your viewing experience by altering video brightness and contrast.
  

Enhanced search functionalityPlatform: MEGA in browser.

Quickly finding files and folders is now easier than ever thanks to the introduction of several new search features. Recent improvements include:

• Search filtering options: Narrow down your search to filter results to file type, location, date added or modified.
  
• Results suggestions: The search bar now automatically provides suggested results as you type and also displays recently opened files where relevant.
  

Introducing device centre for MEGA mobile appsPlatform: MEGA iOS and Android mobile apps.

Device centre is now available for both MEGA mobile apps, giving you full visibility into all devices connected with your MEGA account. Device centre offers:

• Device management: See all connected devices and rename devices as you need.
  
• Sync and backup insights: View the status of all syncs, backups, or camera uploads for each device. Tap any device to learn more and open the relevant MEGA backup or sync folder.

Camera uploads feature improvementsPlatform: MEGA Android mobile app.

We’ve made a number of design improvements to our camera upload feature for Android, including:

• Upload while charging: A new setting lets you limit automatic camera uploads to when your device is charging, helping you conserve battery throughout the day.
  
• Status indicator: A new icon on the photos screen now indicates the status of camera uploads.
  
• Interface design updates: We’ve made a number of small design improvements to make the camera uploads feature clearer and easier to use.
