Quote:FidelityFX SDK update enables native compilation for consoles
AMD continuing its open-source efforts by sharing an updated Software Development Kit (SDK) for its FidelityFX platform. We should remind readers that FidelityFX is not just the upscaling components, it is a suite of technologies available to game developers that may or may not use these technologies.
The new SDK version 1.1.2 is available starting from today, and it packed with updates and fixes for FSR. AMD claims that this update focuses on issues that were discovered with FSR 3.1.1.
It also contains needed code for October 2024 GDK (Microsoft Game Development Kit) which will enable frame interpolation on Xbox and PCs. AMD is providing a sample with FSR 3.1.2 for this GDK. Developers can use the provided sample to compile native to Microsoft GDK for Xbox Series X/S. This enables both the latest FSR and Frame Interpolation on consoles.
