AMD reportedly testing FSR Multi Frame Generation up to 8X in Radeon drivers

AMD appears to be preparing a Multi Frame Generation feature with selectable ratios reaching 8X. The options were exposed through RadeonTuner, a third-party application that provides access to Radeon driver settings without requiring the full AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition package.

The RadeonTuner source code contains AMD driver profile properties named MfgOverride and MfgRatio. Its interface maps the ratio setting to application-controlled mode followed by 1X, 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X, 6X, 7X and 8X options. The application identifies the feature as FSR Multi Frame Generation and limits the experimental control to RDNA 4 or newer graphics cards.
