The update is not pushed out automatically through Windows Update but requires that users and administrators install it manually for the time being.
Microsoft's official solution is to go to Settings > Update & Security and activate the "check for updates" button to install it. There are other ways to install feature updates for Windows 10.
Reports are coming in that users and admins face all kinds of issues when they run the upgrade. Not everyone runs into issues and it is likely that the update is applied without issues on most devices.
Note: it is highly recommended that you create a backup of the system partition and any important data before you install Windows Updates.
Windows 10 version 1803 was also plagued by numerous issues.
