Quote:Microsoft has recently confirmed that a fix for the RASMAN bug in Windows 10 would land in late July, and not as part of the next Patch Tuesday cycle due on July 9.
The Remote Access Connection Manager (or RASMAN) service could stop working after installing Windows 10 cumulative update KB4497935 on Windows 10 version 1903, also known as May 2019 Update.
Microsoft says that it’s already working on a full patch, and while the company originally explained that this fix would be included in an “upcoming release,” it now offers more specifics on when we can expect it to go live.
The target right now, Microsoft says, is late July, which means that the fix won’t be included in the July 2019 Patch Tuesday rollout happening next week. Microsoft typically ships a second round of cumulative updates for Windows 10 versions late each month in order to resolve non-security bugs in the operating system, so the RASMAN patch should thus be part of this release.
“We are working on a resolution and estimate a solution will be available in late July,” Microsoft confirms.
