Quote:Microsoft removed a Windows 10 2004 compatibility hold applied to prevent customers from losing mouse input in some games and apps using GameInput Redistributable after applying the Windows 10 May 2020 Update.
GameInput Redistributable is usually silently installed during the installation of games and apps which require support for gaming input devices.
"An incompatibility issue was found with some apps and games using GameInput Redistributable and Windows 10, version 2004 (the Windows 10 May 2020 Update)," the known issue's entry on the Windows 10 Health Dashboard says. "Affected apps or games might lose mouse input."
However, Microsoft removed the compatibility hold applied on Windows 10 devices on May 27 after discovering that this issue did not affect GameInput Redistributable versions currently in use.
Microsoft says that it can take up to 48 hours before the Windows 10 May 2020 Update is offered to previously blocked devices.
