IObit Uninstaller Main Interface

The main user interface of IObit Uninstaller displays six (6) main features: (i) Programs, (ii) Software Health, (iii) Install Monitor, (iv) Browser Extensions, (v) Windows Apps, and (vi) Action Center. At program's first launch, programs installed are shown by default. Note: Windows Apps category only appears on Windows 8 and above.

 

1. Programs category
Programs are displayed in 6 categories: (i) All Programs, (ii) Bundleware, (iii) Logged Programs, (iv) Recently Installed, (v) Large Programs, and (vi) Infrequently Used.
 

• All Programs
  List all programs installed in the user's computer.
  
  Bundleware
  List all unnecessary "bundleware" installed on the user's computer. IObit Uninstaller can monitor program installation in real time and notify the user when bundleware installed ("Notify me when bundleware installed" should be ticked --Settings > Notifications). 
  
  Logged Programs
  List all programs whose installations were logged by Install Monitor. Installations will be logged automatically when "Install Monitor" is set to "Auto Monitor. Manual monitoring of installation is triggered by the user if he needs it. 
  
  Recently Installed
  List the programs installed within a 10-day period. 
  
  Large Programs 
  List the programs with size larger than 100 MB.
  
  Infrequently Used
  List the un-used programs within a two-month period.
  

Uninstall a program
Any program to be removed or uninstaller can be done by just ticking the checkbox in front of target program. (Several programs for uninstall can be selected at the same time). Uninstallation of the target program proceeds after the trash icon or the Uninstall button is clicked. Two options are provided prior uninstallation. 

 

• Create a restore point before uninstall
  This option allows IObit Uninstaller to create a restore point before uninstalling the program so full restoration is possible if any unexpected thing occurs.
  
  Automatically remove residual files
  This option allows IObit Uninstaller to automatically remove all residual files found after the programs built-in uninstallation completes.
  

 

IObit Uninstall will scan and list all program leftovers and registry entries after the built-in uninstallation. The user can select the unwanted items for deletion. Ticking "Shred files", will shred the leftovers when deleting them. Shredding will wipe out completely & permanently said files. It cannot be recovered by any recovery tool.


 

2. Software Health
This feature helps the user optimize all software installed providing for smoother usage and reduction of security risks. There are nine (9) parts are included in this module: (i) Uninstallation Leftovers, (ii) Outdated Software, (iii) Software Redundant Files, (iv) Software Hibernation, (v) Software Permissions, (vi) Disturbing Notifications, (vii) Programs with Uninstall Issues, (viii) Installation Files, and (ix) Malicious Software & Extensions.

 

• Uninstallation Leftovers
  Allows for the deletion of uninstallation leftovers to free up more disk space.
  
  Outdated Software
  Detects outdated software informing the user thus reducing security risks.
  
  Software Redundant Files
  Allows for the clean up temp files and privacy traces generated while using software programs. 
  
  Software Hibernation
  Seldom use software programs can be placed in a "sleep mode" allowing for faster PC. 
  
  Software Permissions

3. Install Monitor
Install Monitor detects and logs system changes during software installation allowing the user to see changes the monitored programs do during installation. Install Monitor provides two ways to monitor program installations: (i) Auto Monitor and (ii) Manual Monitor.
 

 

• Auto Monitor
  Once enabled, all new program installations will be detected and logged automatically. 
  A notification informs the user when the installation is completed. (Settings > Notifications > Notify me when installation log). 
  
  Manual Monitor
  Allows for manual monitoring. User just need to add or drag a setup file to log its installation. User can click the "Logged Installations" link to view all the programs logged by Install Monitor.
  

 

4. Browser Extensions
IObit Uninstaller automatically detects extensions of main-stream browsers and classifies them according to user ratings. (Note: Portable browsers are not detected).  

 

• Trusted Browser Extensions
  Browser extensions displayed here will not harm your computer.
  
  
  Malicious Browser Extensions
  Browser extensions, which may change your default browser and steal your private information, are classified as "Malicious Browser Extensions". They are "highlighted" at the top of the screen so the user can easily find and remove them to get clean and safe online surfing.
  
  
  Rate
  User can rate browser extensions based on user experience. Ratings may be helpful for other IObit users when they have no idea of whether to remove browser extensions. Ratings take effect after 7 days.
  

Browsers Supported
IObit Uninstaller supports five browsers which are Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, and Microsoft Edge. IObit Uninstaller provides an easy way to reset the homepage and default search engine of the browser to its default settings.






5. Windows Apps
Provides a list of the Windows built-in apps and the apps downloaded from Windows store. These apps may take up unnecessary system space thus IObit Uninstaller provides the user a way to uninstall them as needed / preferred. (Note: Windows Apps category only appears on Windows 8 and above). Windows Apps can also be rated based on user experience. Ratings may be helpful for other IObit users when deciding whether to keep / ditch an app.

IObit Uninstaller Tools

The "Tools" contains the 6 powerful tools of IObit Uninstaller. They are: (i) Software Updater, (ii) Easy Uninstall, (iii) Force Uninstall+, (iv) Stubburn Program Remover, (v) File Shredder, and (vi) Windows Updates Uninstall.
