The production unit of the upcoming 14900KS processor has been put through the stability test.
Where to find more details on the Core i9-14900KS? Well, OCCT, the benchmarking and stability tool, seems to have spilled the beans on Intel’s yet-to-be-released desktop CPU. A tester ran the processor through the paces, revealing its complete specifications.
As expected, the 14900KS boasts 24 cores, a combination of 8 P-Cores and 16 E-Cores. In line with its predecessors, this variant maintains a 150W default TDP. With a maximum turbo clock of 6.2 GHz, the CPU surpasses the 14900K by 200 MHz but demands an additional 25 watts.
The OCCT benchmark identified the CPU as a production unit, indicating it has moved beyond the engineering and validation sample phase. It’s plausible that overclockers and perhaps even reviewers already have their hands on this processor for testing, marking the initial signs of its real-world performance evaluation.
