Quote:Opera remains an underdog in the browser wars, but the updates that this application gets every once in a while make it one Google Chrome alternative that you should undoubtedly give a try to.
Look no further than today’s new major release, as the Opera developing team claims version 64 of their browser can reduce page loading time by no more, no less than 76 percent.
And it’s all thanks to a combination of an all-new tracker blocker and improvements for the ad blocker. The tracker blocker alone can speed up page loading by 20 percent, Opera says.
The new tracker blocker uses the EasyPrivacy Tracking Protection List, so it looks to check what trackers should be blocked and then prevents them from loading to enhance privacy.
“We consider ad blocker and tracker blocker to be basic privacy features, which can be kept on at all times. But that’s not all you get from Opera: our browser also has plenty of extended privacy features which come in handy when you feel the need to increase the privacy of your browsing even further,” the Opera team explains.
