Samsung Galaxy Note20+ display specs leak, No Ultra model planned

A new leak surrounding Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Note20 lineup claims that there won't be an Ultra model. While Samsung never really launched a Galaxy Note10 Ultra or a Note9 Ultra, there were rumors of the company launching an Ultra variant of the Note20 similar to the Galaxy S20 Ultra.
 
However, CEO and founder of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), Ross Young has quashed rumors of the Korean company working on the Galaxy Note20 Ultra. Instead, Samsung only intends to launch the Galaxy Note20 and Note20+ this year. He also detailed the display sizes and features of the latter.
 
The Note20+ will feature a 6.87-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 3906 x 1444 and 497ppi. The display will have a 120Hz refresh rate and use LTPO. Samsung will also implement variable refresh rate adjustment on the Galaxy Note20+ which as per Ross will make it the "lowest power implementation of 120Hz."
 
While plenty of Android smartphones have launched with 90Hz or 120Hz refresh rate panels, none of them have implemented variable refresh rate. Due to this, their display is always running at 90Hz or 120Hz which is a battery hog. Dynamic refresh rate will automatically adjust the display's refresh rate depending on the content that one is viewing to help reduce the strain of a high refresh rate panel on the battery.
