The specs of the Xeon W3500 and W2500 series have just been shared by @momomo_us, who was apparently able to find both lineups for Intel’s upcoming refresh of Sapphire Rapids models.
So, you can expect the W3500 series to have at least 4 extra cores and a beefed-up L3 cache compared to the W3400. The base and boost clock details might look a bit downgraded, but none of the models are likely to go beyond the 350W TDP of the previous series.
The top-tier SKU isn’t featured in this chart, but we’re already aware of the Xeon W9-3595X in the pipeline, boasting 60 cores. It’s set to become Intel’s first Xeon High-End Desktop (HEDT) SKU with such a core count. This SKU will feature the same TDP of 350W as W3495X, but this will come at a cost of lower base clock and turbo clock.
The W9-3975X is the second-best and the highest SKU mentioned by this leak. It is set to offer 44 cores, representing the highest upgrade over W3400 predecessor (W9-3475X) which had 36 cores.
