Quote:AdGuard for Mac 2.16
There are two major changes in AdGuard v2.16 for Mac. The first one is the differential filters update. The second is the userstyles support. Let’s take a closer look at each of them and find out how these new features can be useful for you.
Faster filter lists updateFilter lists are what make ad blockers work. Before, even small changes to a list forced the app to re-download the whole rule set, which was slow and inefficient. Now AdGuard for Mac uses differential updates, downloading only the changes that were made since the last update. This reduces server load and speeds up the process. With more frequent updates, you’ll always have the most effective ad blocking.
Customized browsingOur new feature will help you add more color to your browsing experience. Userstyles make it possible to modify websites’ appearance without altering its content by applying custom CSS. They work like userscripts but focus on styling. Upload or create your own userstyles directly in the app to personalize your browsing experience.
To add a userstyle, go to Settings → Extensions → Add → Import from file or URL. You can find ready-to-use userstyles online or create your own by clicking Add → Create userstyle.
We’ve also updated the filtering engines (DnsLibs and CoreLibs), JavaScript enhancement for filtering rules (scriplets) and fixed a few bugs. Update your app to the latest version now and experience all the improvements for yourself.

Quote:AdGuard v4.5.8 for iOS
This update is just a chill guy that makes the app up to 30x faster. We did some work on Safari Converter, so now AdGuard filtering rules are converted to Safari rules in just 0.5–2 seconds instead of 10–30. You will notice the difference especially when updating, enabling, or disabling filters and turning protection on.
Let's give a bit of explanation.
Updating and/or applying filters involves three steps: downloading new versions to the AdGuard app (a seamless process), converting AdGuard rules into Safari-compatible rules (now 30x faster thanks to optimization), and loading the rules into Safari. In the case of the last step, however, on iOS and iPadOS, the process takes 6–15 seconds per small content blocker to compile rules compared to fractions of a second on macOS. This delay affects user experience and slows filter updates, which are critical for ad blockers' performance. AdGuard has reported the issue to Apple (ticket ID: FB16130983) and hopes for a fix in 2025. You can read the blog post for more details.

AdGuard AdBlocker - Chrome Web Store
Most likely same changes as the Beta 5.0.185
Changed- Scriptlet rules are available only from the pre-built filters now.
Now, of the script and scriptlet rules that are added to Custom filters, User rules or Quick fixes filter, only those already used in pre-built filters will work. This means that before applying such a rule, the extension engine will compare the rule body with the list of rules that have already been used in filters from all categories of pre-built filters, such as Ad Blocking, Privacy, etc. If there is a match, the engine will apply the rule, and if not, it will discard it. For example, let's imagine that the Base filter contains the rule example.com#%#console.log('test'), then the engine will accept rules like example.org#%#console.log('test') and #%#console.log('test'), but will discard example.com#%#console.log('new test').
- Added AdGuard Quick Fixes filter.
