Spotify Lite Officially Launched for Android

Spotify has released a lighter version of its app specifically for markets with slow Internet connections and where mobile phone customers typically purchase low-end devices with limited storage.
 
Called Spotify Lite, the app is available for download on Android in a total of 36 countries, and Spotify says that it will continue to add more markets to the list in the coming months.
 
Spotify Lite is available for both free and premium subscriptions, and it requires at least Android 4.3. It is only 10 MB in size, so it can be easily installed on devices were only 16 GB of storage space is available.

Needless to say, it also comes with some feature limitations, but the essential functionality is still there, letting users search for and play their favorite songs and artists.
