Microsoft Re-Releases the Notorious Windows 10 Update KB4023057

Microsoft has re-released an already famous update for Windows 10 whose purpose is to improve “update reliability” on older versions of the operating system.
 
In other words, the purpose of update KB4023057 is to prepare devices running Windows 10 version 1809 and older for the upgrade to Windows 10 version 1903.
Furthermore, the update tries to determine if the device meets the upgrade requirements, and if not, it attempts to apply a series of changes to prepare the upgrade.

For example, it can clean disk space, reset network settings, repair disabled or corrupted services, compress files in the user profile directory, and clean up registry keys that may prevent updates from installing correctly. All versions of Windows 10 are getting this update via Windows Update and on the Microsoft Update Catalog (for manual downloads).
