NVIDIA DLSS4 and Intel XeSS 1.3 plugins for game engines



Smaller game developers whose work is based on Unreal Engine 5 can now integrate the DLSS plugin more easily. Specifically, we are talking about DLSS 4, which is NVIDIA’s latest upscaling and frame generation technology, shipping in games since January.

The Unreal Engine 5 plugin, available for all versions 5.2 to 5.5, integrates Multi Frame Generation, Frame Generation, Ray Reconstruction, Super Resolution, DLAA, Reflex Low Latency, and NVIDIA Image Scaling libraries into one package. NVIDIA’s DLSS is quite similar to AMD FidelityFX, a suite of technologies designed for game developers to facilitate easier integration and support for specific hardware. In the case of DLSS 4, support is naturally limited to NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs.
