So far, there is no sign of this processor at retailers. However, it is a fact that the Zen3-based (Vermeer) processor was added. AMD has confirmed that this SKU was released on June 5 this year, making it the newest AM4 processor currently available.
Before discussing the new SKU, it is worth mentioning that the AM4 socket has now entered its ninth year, and everything suggests that AMD might extend it to a tenth year if they launch any SKU in the three months (as Bristol Ridge AM4 CPUs were released in September 2016 to OEMs).

The Ryzen 5 5500X3D is a six-core processor based on the Zen3 architecture and equipped with the same 64MB of first-generation 3D V-Cache. This means the total L3 cache on this SKU is 96MB. This is the same specification as the Ryzen 5 5600X3D, which, as we remember, was sold exclusively through a few retailers worldwide but never saw a broader release.
The 5500X3D is essentially a slower version of the 5600X3D. While the TDP remains at 105W, the CPU is now 300 to 400 MHz slower than the 5600X3D (boost up to 4.0 GHz).
