In an update to the original KB4482887 page, Microsoft explains that it has already started work on a fix, and it should be included in an upcoming release.
“After installing KB4482887, users may notice graphics and mouse performance degradation with desktop gaming when playing certain games (eg: Destiny 2),” Microsoft explains.
The full list of games impacted by this performance issue isn’t available, but if you experience any slowdown on Windows 10 version 1809, the most recent cumulative update is most likely the culprit.
The software giant explains that right now, removing the cumulative update completely is pretty much the only way to resolve the bug.
“Microsoft is working on a resolution and will provide an update in an upcoming release. As a short-term resolution, users can uninstall KB4482887 to regain performance,” it says.
