Quote:Microsoft has just announced a new upgrade block for Windows 10 version 1903, or May 2019 Update.
The update is no longer offered on Windows Update to device with a series of Intel Rapid Storage Technology (Intel RST) drivers because of what the company describes as incompatibility issues.
The affected driver versions are 15.1.0.1002 and 15.5.2.1053, so if your device is running a newer release, you should be able to install the May 2019 Update just fine.
“Intel and Microsoft have found incompatibility issues with certain versions of the Intel Rapid Storage Technology (Intel RST) drivers and the Windows 10 May 2019 Update (Windows 10, version 1903),” Microsoft explains.
“To safeguard your update experience, we have applied a compatibility hold on devices with Intel RST driver version between 15.1.0.1002 and 15.5.2.1053 installed from being offered Windows 10, version 1903 or Windows Server, version 1903 until the driver has been updated.”
