The tactic allowed Android developer Idea Master to keep in Google Play for about a year two of their apps engaged in this type of illicit activity.
One of the apps is called 'Idea Note: OCR Text Scanner, GTD, Color Notes' and allows taking colorful notes. It was last updated on August 23 and its install count is over 1 million. The average rating from almost 4,000 users is 3.7.
The other one is a fitness app named 'Beauty Fitness: daily workout, best HIIT coach.' Its install count is over 500,000 and had an average rating of 4.8 from 3,300 reviewers.
