Huawei Ready to Launch the First 5G Phone Despite US Trouble
#1
Quote:Huawei has been making the headlines regularly in the last few weeks mostly because of the US ban that blocks the company from working with American firms.

But despite the US trouble, the Chinese tech giant keeps working on getting its devices ready for launch, and bringing a 5G model to the market is a priority.

Back in February, Huawei announced the Mate X, which was supposed to be the first 5G smartphone that it launches. But due to a delay of the Mate X, Huawei’s first 5G phone is likely to be none other than the Mate 20 X 5G, which is scheduled to go live as soon as this month.

A report from VB indicates that the 5G sibling of the Mate 20 X will be very similar with the original model, only that Huawei will upgrade certain features, like the modem. The 5G smartphone will thus come with the Balong 5000 5G chip announced earlier this year, 8 GB RAM instead of 6 GB, and increased storage from 128 GB to 256 GB.
