Today, Acer held its annual next@acer event, where it announced a ton of new products. That includes a new Swift 5 ultrabook, which once again aims to combine high-end performance with ultra-portability. It weighs in at just 2.2 pounds and ismade of magnesium alloy.
What's even more interesting is that the Swift 5 will use Intel's next-generation processors, codenamed Tiger Lake. The integrated graphics will be based on the company's Xe architecture, which is promised to be twice as powerful as its current Gen11 graphics. In fact, Gen11 was already a big boost over its predecessor. If you want more power, you can still get it with an Nvidia GeForce MX350.
Another big improvement that Acer is offering for all of its new products is an antimicrobial coating. Not only can this be found on the screen, but it covers the chassis as well.
As for the rest of the specs, it includes a 14-inch FHD touchscreen, a 56Whr battery, and ports like Thunderbolt 3 and USB 3.2 Gen 2. Naturally, it supports newer technologies like Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0.
