AMD FSR2 has finally joined NVIDIA DLSS and Intel XeSS in 3DMark software. Each of those temporal upscaling technologies now has their own “Feature Test”.
The 3DMark test is based on FSR 2.2, an open-source upscaling solution that works with AMD, NVIDIA, and Intel GPUs. Users can now test how efficient is this super-resolution technique on their hardware. The software supports different FSR2 quality profiles as well as resolutions. Furthermore, the software comes with a side-by-side comparison tool that gives a comparison between FSR and native rendering resolution.
This benchmark is based on Speed Way test with ray tracing disabled. According to the official description, the test will run twice, first at native-resolution with temporal anti-aliasing enabled (TAA) and then with lower resolution and with selected FSR2 mode. The tool will then provide information on framerate in each mode and how much difference does FSR2 makes on a particular system.
The FSR2 Feature Test is now available as a free update to all owners of the 3DMark Advanced and Professional Editions. The only exceptions are purchases made before October 12, 2022. Those users need to buy an upgrade that unlocks Speed Way benchmark and FSR2 test.
