Quote:Radeon PRO V710 launched for Microsoft Azure servers
The Radeon PRO V710 is not a gaming card, on a contrary, it’s place it at data-centers powered by Azure cloud instances.
The Radeon PRO V710 is designed for Desktop-as-a-Service, Workstation-as-a-Service, cloud gaming, and AI/ML use cases. This datacenter GPU will be offered exclusively through Microsoft Azure servers, where customers can use between 1/6 and 1x of the GPU instance and access up to 24GB of GPU memory (even though the card has a total of 28GB).
The AMD PRO V710 is based on the Navi 32 architecture and features 54 RDNA3 Compute Units, the same configuration as the Radeon RX 7700 XT. However, this model is equipped with 28GB of GDDR6 memory, rather than the 12GB found in the RX 7700 XT. The card has a maximum memory bandwidth of 448 GB/s. The V710 supports R-IOV, allowing it to be isolated between virtual machine instances, enabling multiple servers to use the same GPU simultaneously.
Quote:Outstanding ray tracing performance relative to AMD RDNA 2, combined with AMD Infinity Cache™ technology allow modern PC games to run smoothly with advanced visual effects enabled. The hardware video encoder supports streaming use with support for AV1, HEVC (H.265) and AVC (H.264) encoding and decoding1. The addition of AI accelerators for efficient matrix multiplication and support for AMD’s open source ROCm™ software provide improved computational performance for machine learning.
The card features a single-slot design and is actually passively cooled, so don’t consider using it for a standard PC. Additionally, you can’t purchase this GPU because it is exclusively for Azure servers.
