Quote:Ryzen 7 9800X3D specs list unlocked multiplier
Price comparison website has listed full specs of the Ryzen 7 9800X3D.
Geizhals, a price comparison tool for European retailers, has now listed the full specifications of AMD’s upcoming 8-core CPU. This CPU features a base clock of 4.7 GHz and a boost clock of 5.2 GHz, along with a 120W TDP—both figures are higher than the 8-core 9700X processor launched in August.
The specifications also confirm support for all AMD 600-series motherboards, including the A620 and the PRO workstation series. The listing indicates that the CPU uses the same silicon as existing models, labeled GNR-B0. It also notes “Free Multiplier: Yes,” suggesting that traditional overclocking will be available, unlike the last generation of CPUs with 3D V-Cache, which had this feature locked.

Although the specs appear detailed, it’s best to remain cautious until AMD makes an official announcement. Support for CPU multiplier changes would be a significant update for the upcoming 9000X3D series. We’ve already seen the 9800X3D model reach 5.3 GHz and even 5.6 GHz—some of these frequencies may result from Precision Boost Overdrive, but the 5.6 GHz could indicate true overclocking.
The price aggregator confirms November 7th launch for this SKU, no other X3D part is listed.
