AMD Strix Halo iGPUs: Radeon 8060S and Radeon 8050S
First graphics within the Radeon 8000 series.
In a video titled “2025 Platform Outlook” Chinese leaker “Golden Pig Upgrade” shares the new information on Strix Halo. It supposedly reveals for the first time that AMD will be applying new 8000 series naming to its next-gen Radeon integrated graphics.
As we know, the iGPU segment from AMD has seen a massive transformation in terms of performance and naming. The classic Vega series were replaced with Radeon-branded 600M series with Ryzen 6000 series, and later upgraded to Radeon 700M with Phoenix and Radeon 800M with Strix Point, now shipping with new laptops.
AMD RDNA Radeon iGPUsAccording to the leaker, the upcoming Strix Halo platform will once again feature a new naming schema for graphics, but there is a good reason why. The Halo series is said to feature a much upgraded RDNA3.5 GPU, now offering 16 to 40 Compute Units, which would be more than twice as many GPU cores as Strix Point.
- Radeon 700M: Phoenix, Hawk Point
- Radeon 800M: Strix Point
- Radeon 8000S: Strix Halo?
According to the chart shared, the most high-end Halo iGPU with 40 Compute Units would be called Radeon 8060S, while the 32-CU variant would be referred as Radeon 8050S. The name of the 16-CU model is not yet known.
