When it comes to smart phones, you get what you pay for...
Any low to mid range phone will not be supported as intended... Pie update has been out over a year now and only sitting on about 20% of the worlds smart phones. Security patches/updates for most manufactures are lacking as well.. If you want a secure good phone, best picks are pixel or iphone, there are of course Android One phones which get patched quickly, but specs very. These picks will be first in line to be patched and upgraded. Anything other then, will not matter, you will need tons of security, and the specs will all be just ok... Then we have to be mindful of unlocked vs preinstalled bloatware...
If you can swing a samsung s8, you could also afford one of the newer pixel mid range phones like pixel 3a.
