Intel’s next-generation low-power architecture called Lunar Lake has witnessed a large leak today.

The upcoming Lunar Lake architecture is on track to expand Intel’s plans for ultra-low mobile power systems, succeeding the just-deployed Core Ultra 100U “Meteor Lake-U”. Scheduled to hit the market alongside the more potent Arrow Lake CPUs later this year, both Lunar Lake and Arrow Lake are currently undergoing testing and evaluation, with Intel partners already in possession of the latest silicon.

The latest leak has unveiled the alleged Lunar Lake processor in its A1 stepping. Confirming the presence of 8 cores and 8 threads (without hyper-threading, as also expected from the Arrow Lake series). This leak also spills the beans on CPU core cache sizes. The Lunar Lake die will feature four Lion Cove cores and a cluster of four Skymont cores. Notably, these same types of cores are slated for use in the Arrow Lake series.

Intel Lunar Lake Cache & Clocks:
  • L1 Cache: 836KB (112KB per P-Core, 96KB per E-Core)
  • L2 Cache: 14MB (2.5MB per P-Core, 4MB per four E-Cores)
  • L3 Cache: 12MB
  • Base Clock: 1.8 GHz (A1)
  • Boost Clock: ~2.8GHz (A1)
According to Tom’s Hardware, it would appear that L2 cache for Lunar Lake (14MB) will actually be larger than L3 cache (12MB). The L2 cache combines 2.5MB per each Performance cores and 4MB combined for a cluster of Efficient Cores. The screenshot posted by XZiar on a Chinese social platform does not show hyper threading either.
