Benchlife, in their usual fashion, is sharing the final specs of the Intel Core CPU series ahead of the launch. The exact date for the specs finalization is likely not this week. Instead, this suggests that the specs have been submitted in full to board partners, and the media can now safely assume that no further changes will be made.
The site reminds users that the launch date has been pushed back by a week, from October 17 to October 24. However, the actual announcement is expected on October 10, less than a month away. This launch will also include the Intel Z890 motherboard, while the company prepares for the Core Ultra non-K launch and more affordable motherboards to appear at CES 2025.
As mentioned, Intel is launching five SKUs, not six, as we are used to seeing. The reason is simple: the flagship Core Ultra 9 285K will not have its KF variant (the SKU that lacks integrated graphics). For now, Intel has decided to offer only the full-featured version.
