Reports suggesting the issue is more widespread than indicated in NVIDIA’s known driver bug lists may have pressured the company to release a hotfix driver addressing the problem quicker. 

Earlier today, we reported that the GPU temperature sensor may display incorrect data when the PC wakes from sleep or power-saving modes. NVIDIA had acknowledged this issue in the 576.02 driver release notes, but it is only resolved in the new 576.15 release, which is labeled as a hotfix.
