The Financial Analyst Day did not bring any substantial updates for gamers. AMD has not provided any details on the successor to RDNA4, beyond two bullet points. The company has not confirmed when it will arrive or how it will be named. However, AMD did confirm that the next architecture for gamers will focus on improved AI and ray tracing. This means the successor to RDNA4 should offer better tensor cores and better ray tracing cores, as already teased by Project Amethyst, a collaboration between AMD and Sony on next-gen gaming consoles.

Leaker Kepler_L2 has mentioned that AMD has not yet decided on the name, and this appears to be confirmed by the new roadmap slide AMD presented. The company is avoiding naming the new GPU architecture as RDNA5 or UDNA, which AMD teased a while ago. Perhaps this means AMD cannot commit to anything related to Radeon right now, which is unfortunate given that they outlined their plans for EPYC and Instinct series in a very detailed way.
