Currently, I use a free 7-Zip archiver which basically copes with its tasks, but have less functionality than WinRAR. I want to win WinRAR because It is a popular archiver that can handle almost any archive format (e.g. RAR, ZIP, CAB, 7Z, JAR, ACE, TAR, ISO) and is easy to use.
