Quote:Core Ultra 100 series: up to 16 CPU cores & Arc GPU 8 with Xe-Cores
Intel launches first client CPU series with new naming schema.

CPU: “Redwood Cove” P-Core & “Crestmont” E-CoreIntel’s Meteor Lake architecture marks a departure from a monolithic die, opting for four smaller dies (tiles) consolidated through Intel Foveros technology. This is also the first time Intel will use TSMC chips on its processors:- CPU Tile: Intel 4
- 3D Foveros Base Die: Intel 16
- GPU Tile: TSMC N5
- SoC Tile: TSMC N6
- I/O Tile: TSMC N6
The first generation Core Ultra CPUs will feature support for the latest connectivity standards, including WiFi7, Thunderbolt 4 (but no Thunderbolt 5) and DisplayPort 2.1. Furthermore, these CPUs can work with LPDDR5(x)-7467 memory or DDR5-5600 with ease.

The Compute tile contains the P-cores (Redwood Cove) and E-core (Crestmont) clusters sharing an L3 cache, but there’s an additional E-core cluster located on the SoC tile, called the “Low Power Island”. Intel acknowledges that Meteor Lake will not be the record breaker in CPU performance, the architecture (Core Ultra 7 165H) will deliver slightly higher multi-threaded performance than Raptor Lake (i7-1370P) but single-threaded performance will be lower as per Intel slides:
