Automatic features offered are: (i) Live-Tuner, (ii) Auto-Clean, and (iii) Profile Booster.

  • Live-Tuner

Live-Tuner adjusts process priorities to speed up application launches.

  • Auto-Clean

Auto-Clean removes application-related "temporary files" as soon as the applications are closed to regain disk space. Running applications store these temporary File / data and as they run, they continue to take up space even applications are closed/exited.

  • NEW: Profile Booster

This is the former 'Game-Booster' from version 26. 'Profile Booster' has 3 tabs (profiles): i. Games, ii. Office, and iii. User-defined. Listed services and processes for each 'profile' will be modified when the user 'activates' / 'selects' a profile. Once the user selects (activates) a new profile, all services that were terminated in the previous selection will automatically restart. The user can add services/processes to each of the profile. For a more defined profile, the iii. User-defined, allows for input of all the user's identified processes/services.

These streams usually contain additional data used by programs that process the "main” file. However, they can also be used to hide malware. This module scans the initially selected drive for such streams and allows the user to "delete" them, if warranted.

OBSERVATIONS AND FINAL WORD

I have not delved into the intricacies of the tools and cleaners of WinOptimizer 27 because it seems the same as that of the last version (WinOptimizer 26). I will for this time state some findings / observations as I used WinOptimizer 27 and mention some suggestions for Ashampoo for simplification of the interface.

I have constantly observed in versions 25 towards 27 which is the 'All Modules' category (tab). WinOptimizer shows two (2) views here. I lost count as to when this started but maybe this is catered to the new user or one who needs more explanations for the vast number of tools being offered. At first glance, WOW! I mean anyone will be really overwhelmed especially when a user is not amenable to reading all that is shown in a certain tab. There are a total of thirty-six (36) tools there!

(Will you read them all? Look for something that you need? Or, just use category #1 'System Analysis' and just hit 'Optimize' there?)

Anyway, for some time now I really wonder why does Ashampoo stick to this arrangement of two (2) different views. I am in awe....I just do not understand this. Why not just stick to one view? Why? Because 'both' views show a description of the selected tool when hovered upon by the mouse. And this 'description' is the same for BOTH the views also. I think for simplicity, Ashampoo should stick to just 'one' view and have a better explanation or description of each tool in the description pane instead.

Also, if you look closely on all the tools being offered, there are 'almost' similar entities that are performing either 'maintenance' or 'improvement' on a certain entity. Say, 'Disk Doctor'. Apart for 'Disk Doctor' you will also some tools that are also connected to performing hard disk operations like, 'Defrag', 'Drive Cleaner', 'DiskSpace Explorer', and 'HDD Inspector'.

Why not, for simplicity's sake, merge these tools in just one singular tool (title), say, 'Disk Doctor', and then when you click it, you'll see all of them tools neatly arranged in their own separate tab.

The is also the same for 'internet' -- 'Internet Cleaner' and 'Internet Tuner', 'Privacy' --'Privacy Traces Cleaner' and 'Privacy Manager', 'File Tools --'File Associator' in 'Customize Windows'.

This will 'simplify' the collection of tools and Ashampoo only needs to 'add more' description to those tools in the 'description pane'.

NEW: Crash Analyzer
A new tool has been added here in version 27 which is the 'Crash Analyzer'. The tools provides relevant data on Windows crash events and provide error reports/details. This will aid the user to discern the cause of the error. That's the best it can do there just provide the data/info. It would be nice to have some sort of 'how-to-solve' said errors but that's wishful thinking.

IMPROVED: Privacy Traces Cleaner
The 'improved' Privacy Traces Cleaner needs some work. Further work. It seems like any registry cleaner that 'cleans' and 'declares' that there are no errors or anything untoward detected. And then when ran again, there it is 'registry issues' are detected again. See an exhausting example below.

To compare with WinOptimzer 26 I installed a new version WinOptimzer 26 in a mirror partition (same content / settings -- as the one I used for WinOptimizer 27). The same issue here so this issue was NOT CORRECTED in the last version of WinOptimizer 26.00.24.

So, is this an 'improved' Privacy Traces Cleaner for Ashampoo WinOptimizer 27 or what?

I see no improvement here. It seems detecting the same traces that it already deleted/cleaned (same as that of WinOptimizer 26.00.24)

UI language error
I remember this UI language error way back in version 25 but never pointed it out and just disregarded it as a 'fluke'. Now it is still there in Ashampoo WinOptimizer 27 > Privacy Traces Cleaner. Since I have installed  WinOptimizer 26.00.24 on a mirror partition, I also checked if the UI language issue will appear and yeah, there it is! See images below.

All-in-all Ashampoo WinOptimizer 27 is still a truly comprehensive set of tools that every Windows user will need. This is especially effective to those who aren't keen on using the built-in Windows Tools and to those who needs a singular-do-it-all tool for maintenance of Windows. This version 27 has almost very similar results from version 26. The issues presented here are so..so.. especially the Privacy Traces Cleaner (--is it improved or the same as that of WinOptimizer 26 issue -- not quite able to clean completely traces detected). UI language error is still there thus I pointed it out now (will report it to Ashampoo support also). The "Tuning Assistant" is (the same) and again, a nice touch as this is a guide especially to the new users. The "Uninstall Manager 2" again seems to be the same...same as other WinOptimzer "uninstallers" I am not a fan of them. I prefer Ashampoo's UnInstaller, much more comprehensive app. The "Crash Analyzer" is a nice addition but for the average or non-techy individual it is difficult to discern the data. How will you solve that error? The data given will remain "just data" and the user is left to himself how will he use it. Again, as mentioned, it would be nice to have some sort of 'how-to-solve'. The vast collection of tools of WinOptimizer 27 are everything that you will ever need really. If the user will need all tools in just one app. The reality is that some users are somewhat lazy or overwhelmed about Windows tools that they do not actually use it (or search for it) and just rely on apps like WinOptimizer. In every instance, the user will always be "king" and his preference will always remain.

(Note: WinOptimizer ver27.00.03 is out but the 'observations' especially on 'Privacy Traces Cleaner' and the UI language issue is the same)
