Saudi Arabia approves granting citizenship to global experts under Vision 2030
Quote:Saudi Arabia has approved granting Saudi citizenship to scientists, doctors, researchers, entrepreneurs, and other individuals with rare skills, experience, and specializations.

According to a royal decree, the kingdom has offered citizenship to talented individuals in medical, scientific, cultural, sports, and technical fields to achieve its goals. The initiative is part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 programme to create an attractive environment for investing in human capital and attracting skilled labour.

This move is expected to help bolster the kingdom’s economic, health, cultural, sports, and innovation sectors by bringing in prominent experts and specialists.

In December 2021, Saudi leadership approved a similar initiative, granting citizenship to prominent individuals in these fields. This ongoing effort has underscored the kingdom’s commitment to enhancing its development across various sectors by leveraging global expertise.

SpaceX satellite launch visible in NC predawn skies
Quote:SpaceX successfully launched additional Starlink satellites Wednesday, adding to its fleet of over 6,000 satellites providing internet connectivity to pizza box-sized antennas and now directly to cell phones. The launch took place at 4:55 a.m., just before sunrise, at a time for visibility in the Carolinas.

"We were able to see this because it happened at the perfect time," said WRAL meteorologist Chris Michaels. "Sunrise at RDU Wednesday is at 6:04 a.m., meaning that the sun had risen farther east. That sun being lower in the sky helped to illuminate the rocket trail, to where it was visible this far west."

UK-ticket holder wins £33m EuroMillions jackpot - as players urged to check their numbersThe ticket was the only one to match all five main numbers plus two lucky stars.

 
A UK-ticket holder has won the £33m EuroMillions jackpot, the National Lottery has said.
 
The ticket, which was brought in the UK, was the only one to match all five main numbers plus the two Lucky Stars to scoop a whopping £33,078,306.60.
 
The lucky winner is now being encouraged to come forward, having yet to claim the winnings.
 
"What a great way to start the month," Andy Carter, senior winners' advisor at The National Lottery, said.
 
"Players are urged to check their tickets and to give us a call if they think they are tonight's lucky winner."

The winning numbers were 11, 13, 29, 31 and 47 with the Lucky Stars 01 and 11.

Major worldwide tech outage plunges world’s largest companies into chaos

A mass IT outage has affected businesses, airlines, banks and hospitals around the world.

The outage, which spread widely on Friday morning, saw Microsoft Windows PCs impacted with a "blue screen of death" appearing after an update from global cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike.

CrowdStrike's boss said on X there had been a defective software update for Microsoft Windows hosts and a fix was deployed - but experts have said it could take "weeks" for all systems to be back to normal.

Google Pixel Watch 3 set for major display upgrades, new colors, UWB, and much more!

Google has fixed a few of issues of the Pixel Watch 2 with its upcoming refresh of the watch — the Pixel Watch 3.
