Intel officially introduces the new series for desktop PCs.
The Core Ultra 200 series is an update for desktop systems, focusing on power efficiency. It features newer Performance and Efficient core architectures, new graphics, and introduces the first desktop NPU (Neural Processing Unit). There’s also a new naming scheme for the series.
Today, Intel is introducing the Core Ultra 200S, where “S” stands for Arrow Lake-S. The first wave of CPUs consists of unlocked SKUs with a nominal TDP of 125W. These are enthusiast CPUs aimed at gamers.

The standout is the Core Ultra 9 285K, the new flagship SKU featuring 24 cores in total (8 Performance Cores and 16 Efficient Cores). These are the new Lion Cove and Skymont cores. This CPU has a boost clock of 5.7 GHz and comes with 4 Xe GPU cores. The Ultra 7 265K has 20 cores (8 Performance Cores and 12 Efficient Cores) with a boost of up to 5.5 GHz. The 14-core Core Ultra 5 245 offers 6 Performance Cores and 8 Efficient Cores, with a boost up to 5.2 GHz. The 265KF and 245KF variants lack integrated Xe graphics, and there is no 285KF version announced today. All Arrow Lake-S SKUs feature an NPU capable of 13 TOPS (Int8), which is 3.7x slower than the NPU in the Lunar Lake series.
