In the new adventure, Lara ends up in the area of the dragon triangle in the Japanese Sea. For centuries ships and aircraft that have disappeared have been reported time and again. It is believed that volcanic eruptions and giant waves subject to the tides are responsible for the puzzling accidents. Small islands seem to be brought out of nowhere to sink back into the sea just as quickly. On board the research ship ENDURANCE of her mentor Conrad Roth, the 21-year-old Lara is embarking on her first great adventure together with a diverse group of students, researchers and crew members. However, only a few days after casting off, fate strikes: the ENDURANCE gets into a massive storm and runs aground in front of a mysterious island. Shipwrecked and on her own, the young, inexperienced heroine takes up the struggle for survival. Will it successfully assert itself against the dangers of the island and its aggressive residents?
