Dell's XPS 13 and XPS 13 2-in-1 laptops are getting the Intel 11th-gen treatment

After Intel announced its 11th-generation processors today, OEMs like Samsung, Acer, and Dynabook were quick to announce new products with Intel's new wares. Lenovo actually announced its Tiger Lake PCs two days ago. One partner that was missing was Dell, which typically has a very close partnership with Intel. In fact, Dell was the first to release a laptop with last year's 10th-gen 'Ice Lake' processors, and the first to use 10th-generation 'Comet Lake'.
 
That was the XPS 13 2-in-1 and the XPS 13, respectively, and you might be wondering what's up with those two PCs now. The answer is simple: they're coming. in fact, eagle-eyed viewers might have noticed them during Intel's presentation today, while showing creator demos of how much more powerful these 11th-generation chips are.

Intel's 11th-generation processors, codenamed Tiger Lake, are its second-generation 10nm chips, and they come with the company's new Iris Xe graphics. Not only that, but they support things like Thunderbolt 4 and PCIe 4, so this is all a significant improvement over Ice Lake.
 
Dell has originally told us that it had no plans for IFA, and will be holding a fall launch later this year, so you can expect to see the new XPS 13 and XPS 13 2-in-1 then.
