DiskSpace Explorer analyzes and visualizes the file distribution across the user's drives to track down huge files. The program analyzes disk space occupancy according to six default categories: (i) audio files, (ii) video files, (iii) image files, (iv) archive files, (v) documents, and (vi) program files. Each of these categories includes a number of  file formats specified by file extension (e.g., MP3 for MP3-encoded songs, separated by semicolons. User can customize the categories by adding or removing file extensions.

NOTES:

Ashampoo Disk-Space-Explorer 2023 with it's a minimalist and straightforward will make any user feel comfortable using it. Once installed (and activated) it will at once run a scan for to determine file distribution allocations.

Here, I can also say, Ashampoo did not forget the "ease-of use" thing as there isn't anything that a new user will not understand. The interface gives you 3 views, (i) Files, (ii) Structures, and (iii) File Formats. The user will like the "Structure" as it looks like explorer and gives you the "file structure" every Windows user is at ease with. There isn't much to do here once the scan is finished. It is left to the user to determine what he needs to delete (optimize).

This is a FREE software from Ashampoo. Recommended "if" the user doesn't have a "resident" disk space app. Of course, there are a lot of "free" disk space app out there and most come with additional free tools too! Even the partition experts or partition assistants have this capability.
