During AMD’s Zen5 Tech Day, AMD disclosed plans for Zen6 and Zen6c architectures, which will be released in the future. AMD did not announce the launch date for the first products based on these architectures, nor did the company confirm the manufacturing nodes. However this is the first time AMD publicly confirmed Zen6 as a successor for Zen5.
AMD CTO Mark Papermaster confirmed that AMD is already working on Zen7, with a dedicated team similar to Zen6. This has raised questions about potential support through the AM5 socket, with Zen6 likely to be part of the lineup.

ComputerBase noted some confusion at Tech Day when an engineer mentioned that the AM5 socket is supposed to support four generations of Ryzen CPUs. However, this was later clarified by AMD. The company reaffirmed its commitment to supporting AM5 through 2027 and beyond, ensuring compatibility for at least five years.
